Measuring VOCs in Indoor Air
LAS VEGAS — Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) impact IAQ and can have deleterious effects on human health. This session will describe instruments and laboratory-based methods available to measure VOCs. Technologies discussed will include photoionization detectors (PIDs), thermal desorption tubes, and whole air canisters. Ian Cull will describe advantages and disadvantages of each method and highlight situations that may be better suited for each. The session will also explain key principles needed to interpret the results from measurements of VOCs.
Presented by Indoor Air Quality Association, Monday, Jan. 30, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., in room N243
