ANAHEIM, Calif. — Source Refrigeration & HVAC announced that Adam Coffey has been appointed as its new president and chief executive officer. Founder Brad Howard will remain in his position as chairman, working with Coffey to further develop the company’s strategic vision, organic and acquisition growth initiatives, and customer relationships.

Coffey’s prior role was as president and CEO of WASH Multifamily Laundry, which serves multifamily housing communities across North America. In his 13 years with WASH he modernized the business, acquired and successfully integrated 18 companies, and led efforts that resulted in more than doubling revenues and profits. Prior to his work at WASH, Coffey was president and CEO of Masterplan Inc., and held leadership positions with a number of business units inside GE Medical Systems. He began his career serving the U.S. Army where he oversaw a group of highly trained, specialized soldiers in maintaining and repairing multi-million dollar air defense radar systems.

“We are excited about Adam leading the Source executive team,” said Howard. “The combination of his technical expertise, his experience in distributed service environments, and his business and leadership acumen uniquely qualify him for the job and will help take Source to the next level.”

“I’m honored and energized for the opportunity to lead this outstanding organization,” said Coffey. “Source is a well-respected leader in refrigeration service and installation. I look forward to working with the team at Source to continue to build upon their successes and drive continued growth through industry leading service levels and customer satisfaction.”
