DOE Publishes a Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Pertaining to Test Procedures for Consumer and Certain Commercial Water Heaters - Mathematical Conversion Factor
The Department of Energy (DOE) has published a Federal Register supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNOPR) pertaining to test procedures for consumer and certain commercial water heaters 81 FR 59736 (August 30, 2016).
In response to the April 2015 NOPR, DOE is issuing this SNOPR, which: (1) updates the proposed mathematical conversion factors based on new test data received after the publication of the April 2015 NOPR; (2) proposes updates to the methodology for developing the conversions for certain covered water heaters based on feedback received from interested parties; and (3) proposes a new approach for denominating the existing energy conservation standards in terms of the new uniform energy factor (UEF) metric.
- The comment period closes September 29, 2016.
- All notices, public comments, public meeting transcripts, and supporting documents associated with this rulemaking are included in Docket No. EERE-2015-BT-TP-0007.
