DiversiTech Acquires Cliplight Manufacturing
Expanded product line, including Super Seal™ brand, will aid HVAC contractors
ATLANTA — DiversiTech Corp., a leading manufacturer and supplier of HVACR parts and accessories, announced that it has purchased Cliplight Manufacturing Co., a Toronto-based manufacturer of HVACR sealants, work lights, and battery charger products.
DiversiTech noted that Cliplight has been a pioneer in the air conditioning and refrigeration sealant category and also brings strong R&D and technical support capabilities. The company said these advantages — coupled with DiversiTech’s warehousing and distributing operations — will provide improved shipping and ordering efficiencies and an expanded geographical reach to serve more customers. DiversiTech said it will now be able to offer its HVAC wholesaler partners a broader and more complete line of leak detection and sealant repair products, as well as lighting tools and air purification products.
Founded in 1976 with the Cliplight worklight, the company later invented its first residential and commercial HVACR sealant, Super Seal™, in 2003. Super Seal currently has nearly 2 million sealant applications worldwide for appliances and residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Super Seal Advanced™ products combine sealant and moisture eliminators while Super Seal Total™ also includes UV dye in an environmentally friendly and technologically advanced product. Super Seal’s patented vacuum-packed delivery method uses the HVACR system’s own refrigerant to mix and circulate the sealant materials. This process ensures there is no dilution of the refrigerant.
In addition to acquiring the Super Seal family of brands, other product lines coming to DiversiTech include: work lights, leak detection inspection lights, air ozone machines, a/c tools, and battery chargers. Combined, DiversiTech is acquiring more than 450 product SKUs.

Integration of the companies is already underway, and complete integration is expected to be finalized in the first quarter of 2016.
