Description: Uponor is extending its current pre-insulated cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipe offering to include insulation thicknesses up to 2 inches to comply with the ASHRAE 90.1-2013 Energy Code and the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). The new offering includes both Uponor AquaPEX® pipe for potable plumbing applications as well as Wirsbo hePEX™ oxygen-barrier pipe for hydronic heating and cooling applications. The entire offering, which is available in coil lengths of 50, 75, or 100 feet, features manufactured seams in the insulation that run the entire length of the coil, eliminating the need for solvents, glues, or tape during the installation process.
