OMAHA, Neb. — Bes-Tech Inc. announced that has been selected by the Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge (LABBC) as an Implementation Partner. In this role, Bes-Tech will provide a range of services aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of partner buildings. Such services may include energy auditing, retrofitting and optimizing building HVAC systems, replacing or upgrading building HVAC control systems, optimization of chiller plants, and turnkey installations. The company is already a designated LABBC Technology Partner and was selected through a rigorous selection process that takes place once each year.

The Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge is a utility-funded initiative focused on energy efficiency through technology and innovation in the built environment. The initiative aims to achieve a 20 percent energy savings by the year 2020. To date, the LABBC has enrolled over 30 million square feet of commercial, multifamily, and municipal properties into the program. It is a city of Los Angeles program run in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Southern California Gas Co., and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. The LABBC serves as an unbiased guide to help Los Angeles building owners and managers take advantage of available resources and incentives.
