Ecova and Powerhouse Dynamics Expand Energy Management Partnership
Businesses are increasingly implementing energy management systems and services
SPOKANE, Wash., and BOSTON — Ecova, an energy and sustainability management company, and Powerhouse Dynamics, a supplier of enterprise energy and asset management systems, announced they have expanded their partnership to provide energy management and managed services to retailers, restaurants, and convenience stores. Powerhouse Dynamics brings its SiteSage™ enterprise energy and asset management system to the partnership and Ecova brings its resource monitoring services team. Under the partnership, Ecova offers SiteSage directly to its customers, saving them up to 29 percent by using the combined solution, said the companies.
As energy prices, staffing expenses, and product costs rise, restaurants, convenience stores, and retailers have been challenged to produce profits within tightening margins. Remote equipment control and analytics, asset management, and facility services have become increasingly important in preserving operational efficiency and protecting the bottom line. Increasingly, businesses are implementing energy management systems and services.

Ecova and Powerhouse Dynamics have already provided this solution to several clients, including Arby’s, who just announced 11 percent total energy reduction per company-owned restaurant since 2011. “Thanks to equipment control and insights from SiteSage, and Ecova’s services interpreting and acting on intelligence generated by the system, Arby’s has seen significant annual savings across its portfolio of company-owned restaurants,” said Frank Inoa, senior director of engineering for Arby’s. This integrated approach offers maximum benefit while minimizing demands on restaurant, retail, and convenience store staff, freeing them to better serve customers.
