EVAPCO’s Evapcold Packaged Refrigeration System.

EVAPCO Inc. has introduced the Evapcold Packaged Refrigeration System, a factory-assembled, low-charge ammonia refrigeration system that requires just 2.5 to 3.0 pounds of ammonia per ton of refrigeration for an entire system.

Evapcold consists of self-contained ammonia refrigeration rooftop systems designed to ship in one- or two-piece modules. The product offers “plug-and-play” installation and fast startups.

According to EVAPCO, the Evapcold Packaged Refrigeration System will enable engineers to apply cost-effective ammonia refrigeration systems on retrofit applications, building expansions, and new facilities while complying with increasing local and federal regulations for safe ammonia use and meaningful refrigerant charge reduction.
