SUWANEE, Ga. — Twenty-nine distributors joined Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling and Heating Division in Oranjestad, Aruba, for its 2014 International Distributor Conference. The annual event allows Mitsubishi Electric to honor its distributors and celebrate the continued success of ductless and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) zoning systems in the international market.

“We’re pleased to bring our distributors together to honor their contributions,” said Reynaldo Benzor, international business unit director, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling and Heating Division. “We recognize the important role our distributors play and realize that these long-term partnerships are essential to our continued success and growth in the market.”

The theme for this year’s international conference was “Building a Better Business.” According to Benzor, the theme reflects Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to providing a strong foundation for its distributors as well as its dedication to developing the best products possible.

The four-day conference concluded by honoring distributors whose performance surpassed expectations throughout the past year. The prestigious International Business Unit Distributor of the Year Award, which recognizes the organization that has outperformed all others in market development, sales, and service levels, was awarded to MPG & Asociados, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. MPG & Asociados and INELEC Ingenieria y Proyecto Electricos, Honduras, received the 2014 Superior Sales Award. Additionally, the 2014 Innovation Award was given to Pro-Tec Mechanical Contractors, Oranjested, Aruba, for outstanding advancements in customer service and sales. Recipients of the 2014 Quota Buster Award included Aircool LTD, Turks and Caicos Islands, British Virgin Islands; Pro-Tec Mechanical Contractors; Quality Electric Supply, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands; Efficient Technologies (Eff-Tech), Bermuda; Sinter S.A., Managua, Nicaragua; and Boreal Intl., Miami.

“We’re humbled that our distributors see the value in our product offering and continue their commitment to us year after year,” said Benzor. “This event is our chance to show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to Mitsubishi Electric.”
