NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Florida Cooling Supply and Dependable Air Supply were honored by International Comfort Products (ICP) as the Comfortmaker^® distributors of the year. ICP is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Florida Cooling Supply, headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, was selected as the Comfortmaker multi-branch distributor of the year. Dependable Air Supply, of Melbourne, Florida, was named Comfortmaker single-branch distributor of the year.

Bob Arena, regional business manager, ICP, presented the awards to Mike Knoop and Bill Connelly of Florida Cooling Supply, and to Harry Hinckley and Glenn Miller Jr. of Dependable Air Supply.

Arena credited Florida Cooling’s success to superior planning and flexible dealer support programs. “They developed a comprehensive sector analysis, focused on underperforming areas, and embraced ICP’s dealer support programs to achieve high levels of growth in sales,” he said.

Arena said Dependable Air Supply’s success stems from three key factors. “They focused on their existing dealer base and used ICP programs to help those dealers grow their businesses,” he said. “They also initiated an impressive dealer recruitment campaign and focused on sales to the growing multifamily housing market. The result — Dependable Air Supply increased their business by 19.9 percent.”
