• The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) appointed Chuck White, vice president of technical and code services for the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC), to the Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee (ASRAC).
• ASHRAE (Atlanta) issued a call for comments on the public review drafts of the ASHRAE/SMACNA Standard 126-2008, “Method of Testing HVAC Air Ducts,” and an addendum to ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135-2012, “BACnet — A Data Communication Protocol for Building Automation and Control Networks.” Comments will be accepted through Aug. 25.
• RSES (Rolling Meadows, Illinois) awarded CM status to H. Edward Bartram, Dion L. Buckley, and Stephen G. Sargent.
• The Building Performance Institute Inc.’s (BPI) BPI-1100-T-201x: “Home Energy Auditing Standard” is currently undergoing American National Standards Institute (ANSI) review. The deadline to comment is Aug. 25.
