Bosch has replaced its Buderus GC124 residential gas-fired boiler with the new precision cast GC144 boiler, a compact Energy Star-compliant boiler capable of delivering best-in-class 85 percent AFUE. Its three models are available with input heating capacities of 74, 103, and 132.5 MBtuh. Constructed of flexible, corrosion-resistant GL180M cast iron that is robust and durable, the GC144 also comes with 1-½-inch wraparound insulation for better heat retention and less fuel usage along with a stainless steel atmospheric gas burner (electronic ignition) for precise premixing. GC144 models include the AquaSmart control for outdoor reset with a heat manager function that adjusts water temperature based on load for additional fuel savings. Additional standard equipment on the GC144 includes high-precision castings with steel push nipples, a tridicator gauge, 30 psi relief valve, a circulator with a 3-foot wire lead, and a built-in draft hood with integral draft diverter.
