The Series 1500 cooling tower’s Extreme Efficiency (XE) models are at least two times more efficient than the minimum requirements established in ASHRAE 90.1 and further reduce the unit’s operating cost, the company said. The XE Models are tailored for projects that require an extreme efficiency unit to minimize energy costs. According to the manufacturer, the cooling towers provide low operating costs with paybacks of less than two years and additional sound reductions of up to 50 percent (3 dB); increase operating reliability; and help contribute to Energy and Atmosphere Leadership in Energy and Environmental Deisgn (LEED) credits (EAc1).
