NEW YORK — Bard Mfg. Co. kicked off its 100-year anniversary celebration Wednesday morning with a breakfast at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

Company president and CEO Bill Steel spoke to a crowd of suppliers, distributors, customers, and other supporters.

Following breakfast, Steel presented the history of the company, starting in 1914, through the present day, all through four generations of family ownership, which, statistically, he said, is rare.

Steel also made a point to thank the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) for helping small manufacturers.

The theme of the event was “With You,” a nod to all the people who helped Bard make it to 100 years.

“We’ve had 100 years with you and we’re planning to have another 100 years with you as well,” Steel said.

“Thank you very much for all the support you’ve given us throughout the years.”
