ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — William Cho, a 26-year veteran of LG Electronics, has been named president of LG Electronics USA. He succeeds Wayne Park, who has been promoted to global sales & marketing officer, LG Electronics.

Cho, most recently the senior executive responsible for LG’s global residential air conditioning business for the past two years, has extensive management experience across all business units around the world. He served as president of LG Australia and president of LG Canada, as well as holding key sales roles in the United States, among his various positions over the years.

In addition to overall responsibility for LG Electronics across all business units in the United States, Cho will lead the LG Electronics USA Home Entertainment business. In this role, he succeeds Jay Vandenbree, who is retiring at year-end, capping a three-decade career in consumer electronics.

Park assumes the new global sales & marketing officer position after serving since January 2011 as president of LG Electronics USA, leading the company’s growth in the United States. Previously, he led sales and marketing for LG Electronics in the Korean market. Among other high profile positions, he also served as president of LG Canada and vice president of Zenith Electronics LLC.
