TROY, Mich. — Kathy Janes has been named central region sales manager for The NEWS. Janes has 27 years of experience with BNP Media, working most recently as the business development manager for The NEWS. Janes takes over for John Krueger, who has accepted an opportunity that takes him back to his strong roots in the food service media industry.

“Kathy has specialized in working with companies of all sizes, and those with extremely varied media interests, as she developed well-rounded communication strategies with all of her customers,” said Mike Murphy, publisher, The NEWS. “Her knowledge of all of our media products is unmatched, and she is very astute at creating diverse strategies to match our customers’ diverse needs.”

Carrie Cypert, former production manager of The NEWS, has been promoted to fill Janes’ business development manager position.
