The E3 Series universal thermostats take five minutes to install and have real-life programming and simple operation, said the company. Model 53100 is nonprogrammable, 53200 is 5/1/1-day programmable, and 53300 is seven-day programmable. The thermostats are compatible with two heat/two cool systems, gas standing pilot and electric ignition, gas- and oil-fired boilers, electric heat, millivolt, hot-water gravity and zoned, hot-water motor valves (3-wire), hot-water solenoid valves (2-wire), heat pumps with electric/gas/oil auxiliary, and air/ground/hydro exchanger. Specifications include 20-30 vac, 0.1- to 1.5-A current draws, 45-95°F (6-35°C) temperature set and control range, ±1° operating differential, and 3 ½-minute delay on break compressor protection. Installation features include color-coded wire terminals, built-in level bulb, breakaway guides for less-common terminals, and screwless terminals.
