July 23, 2013: ACCA, RESNET Team to Advance Home Performance Contracting
Partnership Encompasses Committee Activities, Messaging Efforts, and Working Toward Code Changes
“ACCA and RESNET have had a long history of working together to draw attention to the benefits of home performance services. We believe that by continuing this partnership with RESNET we can help contractors provide quality services, with measurable results, that improve homeowners daily lives,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO.
Steve Baden, RESNET executive director, said, “When organizations like RESNET and ACCA work together, the entire industry gets stronger. We are pleased that we can expand our partnership, so that not only homeowners, but also local, state, and federal governments and utilities, realize that working with professional home performance contractors creates a more comfortable and energy efficient living environment.”
Some components of the partnership include: working together on committee activities; coordinating messaging efforts at conferences in the future; and working towards code changes to include the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index.
