| Bitzer is celebrating the opening of a new factory in Flowery Branch, Ga. |
Bitzer began compressor production in Flowery Branch, a suburb of Atlanta, in 2005 and recently moved its operations and U.S. headquarters into a new 95,000-square-foot plant. The original plant is located behind the new facility and will be used for training seminars and pressure vessel production, including American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)-certified shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
Bitzer SE, headquartered near Stuttgart, Germany, now has three production facilities in the U.S. (including its scroll compressor plant in Syracuse, N.Y.)
For the formal dedication ceremonies in June 2013, CEO Peter Schaufler and the company’s chief board members took part.
In its announcement of the dedication, the company noted that it had recently been awarded Industry of the Year in Hall County, Georgia, for medium-size companies of 51 to 200 employees.
