ASHBURN, Va. — Duct Doctor USA, a veteran-owned small business that provides services throughout northern Virginia and the Hampton Roads regions, has been awarded a Facilities Maintenance and Management Schedule 03FAC Contract for air duct cleaning services by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). Federal agencies can now procure Duct Doctor USA’s air duct cleaning services at pre-competed rates, increasing resources while improving indoor air quality and reducing building energy consumption.

Studies by the University of Colorado Boulder, at its Larson Building Systems Laboratory, indicate that the removal of debris inside ductwork and the cleaning of the impacted cooling coils can reduce the running time of HVAC systems by as much as 30 percent, noted Duct Doctor.

“Clean ductwork and air-handling equipment directly correlates with long-term savings in energy costs, reducing a facility’s carbon footprint, and improving the working environment for employees,” said Christopher J. Little, president of Duct Doctor USA. “Using the GSA schedule to acquire these services means facility managers can easily attain these benefits and savings.”

The award of the Facilities Maintenance and Management Schedule 03FAC continues Duct Doctor USA’s long-term service to government customers. The company has been previously selected for award on Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Internal Revenue Service, and Department of Homeland Security service projects.

Duct Doctor USA also services commercial facilities and private residences, with more than 10,000 residential customers served since its founding in 2004.
