MINNEAPOLIS — Honeywell recently honored two contractors and a distributor, amongst many honors recently awarded.

DMA Applied Controls, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, was named Honeywell’s Canadian Contractor of the Year.

“DMA Applied Controls earned this important designation through its exceptional performance in 2012,” said Dave Molin, general manager, Honeywell Building Control Systems. “DMA Applied Controls is a past winner of this award and has continued to demonstrate its dedication to creative and affordable integration solutions. DMA’s willingness to find an innovative solution for each customer has allowed them to thrive despite the rough economy and makes them a perfect candidate for Canadian Contractor of the Year.”

Honeywell Authorized Controls Integrators (ACI) compete for the award, which is based on volume, major project wins and completions, creative solutions, technical competency, and commitment to work with additional Honeywell business groups.

AMS Mechanical Systems, Burr Ridge, Ill., was named Honeywell’s ACI Rookie of the Year.

Honeywell ACI’s are considered for this annual award, which is based on growth as a first-year ACI contractor.

“AMS Mechanical Systems is a top new contractor in our industry and a strong advocate for Honeywell in Illinois,” Molin said. “Its commitment to growth and its service to customers is truly exceptional. As a new partner, AMS Mechanical Systems had a strong year and we’re proud to name it our ACI Rookie of the Year.”

Rounding out the list, RSD/Total Control, Lake Forest, Calif., was named Distributor of the Year.

“RSD/Total Control believes that being the best supplier for its contractors makes contractors better vendors to its customers,” Molin said. “The company’s business results and its service to its customers is truly exceptional. We are proud to name the company our 2012 Distributor of the Year.”

Honeywell Authorized System Distributors are considered for this annual award, which is based on a two-year rolling volume, year-over-year growth, product mix, commitment to training, and more. RSD/Total Control has been in business for more than 100 years and is currently a Honeywell Diamond Distributor. Only 13 distributors have earned diamond status.
