BOSTON — Energy Points, a provider of energy analytics for resource management, announced that EnergyPoints Analytics™ is one of the first applications available on the Panoptix® Platform by Johnson Controls. EnergyPoints Analytics provides a one-to-one comparison of energy resource consumption across all domains, including electricity, water, gas, transportation, waste, and materials.

“Energy Points is a valuable addition to the Panoptix platform and will provide building owners and facility managers with an important app to manage their facilities,” said Laura Farnham, vice president, Building Technology and Services, Johnson Controls. “With Energy Points, Panoptix customers can measure their environmental sustainability in a new and innovative way, providing facility managers and C-level executives with an intuitive way to compare energy resource consumption across multiple domains.”

According to Johnson Controls, the Panoptix solution is a combination of software and services to help single building owners or managers of global enterprises improve the performance of their buildings, decrease energy use and operational costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It is driven by cloud-based apps that provide visibility into how every system, subsystem, and device is functioning, and provides information to take actions to improve their performance. It is designed to work with any size building, any building management system; can be accessed by any computer, tablet, or smartphone; and is supported with industry news, an online community, and Johnson Controls Live Guide™ experts. EnergyPoints Analytics was selected by Johnson Controls as one of the first third-party apps available on Panoptix.

The EnergyPoints Analytics app enables Panoptix customers to track resource consumption in buildings, either individually or in groups. Easy-to-use maps identify locations where resources are scarce, unsustainable, or expensive, providing short and long-term project performance analysis for decision making. Users can compare resource consumption to building size, production, revenue, occupancy or any other company-specific measurement. The application factors in critical indicators, such as regional energy mix (coal, natural gas, renewables), resource location, life cycle analysis, scarcity, and stress to generate the true value of consumed natural resources.

“We’re proud to provide an innovative sustainability application on the Panoptix platform. Building owners are embracing environmental sustainability, but need to be able to quantify their projects and resource consumption in an intuitive manner,” said Ory Zik, founder and CEO of Energy Points. “EnergyPoints Analytics imports critical building data from Panoptix, providing a comparative analysis of all resource consumption. As a result, building managers can make more effective project decisions based on scientific data, while being able to clearly communicate the true impact of these projects to the C-level.”
