A new generation of copper brazed heat exchangers feature innovative design improvements that provide higher thermal efficiency performance, resulting in energy and cost savings. Models CB30, CB60, CB110, and CB112 are designed to cover a wide range of duties and will replace the CB27, CB52, CB76/77, and AC120 models. The new family is highly flexible with a number of configurations and capacities to choose from, including both asymmetrical and symmetrical plate patterns. This enables optimum model selection for the duty. Since the new CB30, CB60, CB110, and CB112 models have the same connections and interface as the previous models, upgrades to the new family do not require investments in system redesign. According to the manufacturer, an increased heat transfer area allows for a smaller unit to handle the same duty, saving space; the thermal efficiency is substantially higher due to an optimized plate pattern and asymmetrical plate channels that generate even more turbulence; and the material usage in the new copper brazed models has been optimized, resulting in fewer plates.
