Home » Spectronics Corp.: A/C, Refrigeration Tamper-Evident Straps
For elimination of refrigerant cross-contamination in a/c and refrigeration systems and recovery equipment, the Spectroline® TES-31 tamper-evident straps ensure the purity of the system, while protecting the integrity of the service equipment. The straps offer the building owner assurance that the a/c and refrigeration system hasn’t been contaminated with a foreign refrigerant, which can affect system performance and longevity. For the technician, the straps protect his reputation, while guarding against unqualified repairs and costly callbacks, the company said. The straps are easy to install; the tech positions the strap over the service port, tightens the strap, and trims the excess. No special tools are needed to apply the straps, and the port is secured from contamination. To complete the installation, the tech applies the label provided and records the unique serial number found on the strap. The straps come in a convenient zip-lock storage bag complete with 10 tamper-proof tie straps with serial numbers and matching labels.
