The new ClearPath routing functionality, offered within the GPS Fleet Tracking platform, allows dispatchers and drivers to save time and money by finding the quickest route for a vehicle’s workday. The feature takes all of the locations and stops in a vehicle’s route and orders them to create the shortest route. With the click of one button, a dispatcher or fleet manager can create routes based on the distance of the route. Additionally, dispatchers can send the efficient routes to the driver’s in-vehicle Garmin® device through the Fleet Dispatch application, saving significant time for both the dispatcher and the driver. According to the company, the new functionality means completing more jobs in one day, ultimately increasing service revenue and driver productivity while decreasing fuel costs.
