CHICAGO — Titus HVAC announced that it has expanded its Plexicon line of displacement ventilation systems to include solar capabilities. The solar Plexicon uses a wireless, energy harvesting process to power the unit. And, says the company, it is the only displacement unit in the industry to heat as well as cool.

With both heating and cooling from the same diffuser assembly, the Plexicon line reduces cost and eases design and installation challenges, says Titus.

The wireless, energy harvesting platform powers the auto-changeover when going to cooling or heating mode. Energy harvesting is achieved using solar light energy including sun and ambient room light.
