ST. LOUIS - The Refrigeration Division of Emerson Climate Technologies Inc., a business of Emerson, has been awarded Emerson’s 2010 Chairman’s Operational Excellence Award for its quality products, strong customer relationships, and market growth in the face of a tough economy. David Farr, Emerson chairman and chief executive officer, visited the division’s main facility in Sidney, Ohio, on May 27 to recognize the accomplishments of employees and present the award.

“The dedicated employees of the Emerson Climate Technologies Refrigeration Division deserve credit for transforming this organization into a customer-focused service leader that brings new products to the industry quickly and aggressively pursuing new markets. This award is the result of hard work and planning that left us well prepared to weather the economic downturn and still deliver results,” said Ram Krishnan, president, Emerson Climate Technologies Refrigeration Division. “Our work to better understand the industry, develop new products, and make strategic acquisitions is beneficial to our customers, which is the most important outcome of this award process.”
