March 15, 2011: ARS/Rescue Rooter Acquires McCarthy Services
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - ARS®/Rescue Rooter®, a privately held, nationwide provider of air conditioning, heating, plumbing, insulation, radiant barrier, and ventilation services, has announced the acquisition of the assets of Washington, D.C.-based McCarthy Services.
McCarthy Services provides plumbing, heating, and air conditioning services and has been in business more than 20 years. The company is one of the largest HVAC and plumbing service providers in the greater D.C. area, with facilities in Alexandria, Va., and Gaithersburg, Md.
“We have long had an interest in building on our historic strength in the Washington, D.C., area, while patiently being very particular about who we developed a relationship to expand with,” said Scott Kacic, east division vice president for ARS/Rescue Rooter. “We are very happy to have found the right partner in Dan McCarthy. Our partnership with McCarthy Services allows us to further expand our residential/commercial HVAC and plumbing services to the region’s residents and our neighbors.”
McCarthy Services will continue to be managed by its founder and owner, Dan McCarthy. The business will also maintain the name McCarthy Services for the near term.
