ARLINGTON, Va. - North American Technician Excellence (NATE) has announced that HVACR industry veteran Jack Bartell, director of service and training at Virginia Air, received its fifth annual Golden Toolbox Award.

The award recognizes an HVACR professional who demonstrates exemplary service, support, and advocacy for technician certification.

Bartell, who currently serves as director of service and training at Virginia Air, began his career in the HVACR industry in 1970. He has held various positions, including service technician and service manager for a contracting business, as well as service and training positions with an HVACR distributor and manufacturer. Bartell holds NATE service and installation certifications in air conditioning, air distribution, air to air heat pump, gas furnace, and oil furnace. In addition, he is certified through the National Comfort Institute (NCI) and belongs to Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) and Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA).
