DES PLAINES, Ill. - The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) announced that Peter Schwartz, the new president and CEO of North American Technician Excellence (NATE), will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 RSES Annual Conference and HVACR Technology Expo.

Schwartz will speak on Thursday, Nov. 11, during the opening ceremonies of the conference. His address will focus on “NATE - A Vision for the Future.”

The RSES conference will take place at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort in Tucson, Ariz., Nov. 9-13.

Schwartz is a seasoned professional who is well-versed in association, nonprofit, and business management. As the new president and CEO of NATE, he will be working to enhance the value and grow the organization’s technician certification program as well as raise service standards in the HVACR industry by working with partners such as RSES to increase the amount of NATE-certified technicians.

“A goal of our organizations is to have every NATE-certified technician be an RSES member, and every RSES member become NATE-certified. Schwartz has more than 30 years of experience leading associations in the home building and design industries. Prior to his new position with NATE, Schwartz served as president and CEO of the Construction Financial Management Association, as well as CEO at the American Supply Association and the National Apartment Association.
