The Smart ERV (energy recovery ventilator) is the latest addition to the Smart product line. This unit provides fresh air supply and humidity control for residential housing. According to the manufacturer, the unique poly wheel has a desiccant coating and yields up to 80 percent heat recovery efficiency. The twin variable-speed fans allow the installer to adjust airflow from 50-240 cfm, so the single unit can be adjusted for almost any size residence. The two standard 10 by 20 by 1-inch pleated filters can remove airborne particles as small as 5 microns. The advanced frost-control system ensures the ERV will work efficiently even during subzero days. Features include separate indicator alerts when a clean filter is required; computer port for service troubleshooting; service override switches; and a removable, washable wheel. The optional wall-mount remote control features an on-off switch and allows users to adjust wheel speeds.
