ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced the winners and members of its 2009 Safety Masters Club - recognition for contractors who are dedicated to safe workplaces.
The Safety Award of Merit is awarded to ACCA contractor member companies with the best lost-time incident rate record for 2009 in each of four categories. ACCA’s 2009 Safety Award of Merit recipients are: Controlled Conditions Corp., Chesapeake, Va., 0 to 40,000 hours; Compton Mechanical Services Inc., Indianapolis, and Cooper Oates Air Conditioning, Sacramento, Calif., 40,001 to 100,000 hours; Peaden Air Conditioning, Panama City, Fla., 100,001 to 200,000 hours; and Waldrop Mechanical Services, Spartanburg, S.C., 200,001-plus hours.
