Compact variable frequency drives (VFDs) can deliver energy savings by controlling pumps or fans in commercial HVAC equipment. They are micro drives and save space in HVAC controls equipment cabinets. They come with features such as a standard proportional integral controller and the ability to program without the need for line voltage. Selectable options include interface, filter, enclosure, inputs, and outputs. The VFDs provide easy commissioning with intuitive user interface, a proportional integral derivative controller, and the ability to program without a standard power supply. They can be DIN rail- or screw-mounted and offer side-by-side mounting flexibility. The units have up to seven programming control inputs, up to three programmable control outputs, and several fieldbus options.
