The EX Series gas/oil high-pressure steam boilers are designed for industrial use. The design minimizes carryover and produces dry 99-plus percent saturated steam in five minutes or less from a cold start. Faster start-up means less fuel used, greater savings, and more responsible use of natural resources, says the company. Features include dual-fired natural gas, propane, or No. 2 fuel oil; and a heat output of 3,348,000 to 10,050,000 Btuh depending on the model. Various high-pressure options are available. Hot-water boilers are available depending on models. The nitrogen oxide rating is available as low as 30 ppm depending on the model. All units in the series are equipped with thermocouples attached directly to a tube. Should scale form, the boilers will alert the operator, allowing the operator to trace and repair the source of the water hardness. The boiler then can be acid rinsed to restore its original efficiencies.
