• Flowserve Corp.’s (Dallas) board of directors named Mark A. Blinn as its next president and CEO and a member of the board of directors, effective immediately. Lewis M. Kling, the company’s retiring president and CEO, effective Feb. 2010, has been elected vice chairman of the board.

• Dormont Manufacturing (Export, Pa.) celebrated the manufacture of its 1-millionth gas connector on Sept. 15.
