WASHINGTON - The Chiller Systems Group held its fall meeting at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Md. Hosted by John J. Kirlin LLC, the meeting was attended by over 120 members and guests representing independent contractors who specialize in chiller systems service from across the United States and Canada.

At the meeting, the group announced the addition of new members Ainsworth Stewart Patterson of Toronto and Emcor Service of Phoenix. The meeting included presentations by Johnson Controls, McQuay International, Hanbell/Microtech Control Systems, Ludeca, Maus Italia, DLI, and Electrical South. Ray Isaac, chairman of Air Conditioning Contractors of America’s (ACCA’s) board of directors, made a presentation on ACCA initiatives for commercial contractors and thanked the Chiller Systems Group for its commitment to 100 percent ACCA membership. Isaac also invited the group to participate in ACCA’s upcoming Costars meeting with Johnson Controls.

Other presentations included member Fred Lohr of John J. Kirlin reviewing technician training classes scheduled specifically for Chiller Systems Group members in the upcoming months. Classes include teardowns for centrifugal, screw, and packaged machines for multiple manufacturers and control panel service for multiple manufacturers.

The 2009 spring meeting will be held May 8-9 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans and will be hosted by ChillCo Inc.
