With today’s energy demands and costs soaring, there is a tremendous need for highly efficient equipment, and trained technicians that can install, service, and maintain this equipment. Heat pump units have become the system of choice for heating and cooling requirements in many areas due to their increased efficiencies and adaptability. Professional troubleshooting and servicing requires a comprehensive understanding of this technology.

In order to ensure HVACR service personnel are training in operation, installation, and service, training is now available at Goodman and Amana distributors. The heat pumps covered in this course are basic systems.

According to both Goodman and Amana, the intent of the class is to offer technicians information to build upon, in order to enhance their knowledge of the air conditioning and heating field, and more specifically, heat pumps. They said the course is designed to provide attendees with a complete understanding of heat pump theory, installation procedures, service techniques, and troubleshooting methods.

Upon completion of the class, an assessment will be offered to validate that the attendees have the core knowledge to properly install and service heat pumps. Successful test takers will receive an embroidered shoulder patch and Goodman-Amana certificate.

For schedule and class price, check with a local Goodman-Amana distributor, or visit www.partner.goodmanmfg.com.
