James Seaman, Beckett OEM sales manager, shows off the new standard junction box that will be available for all CF-1000 and larger oil burners and all CG15 and larger gas burners.

NEW YORK CITY - Among the hundreds of exhibitors at the 2008 Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) showing their new and improved products, several manufacturers in the oil-fired products category had some exciting news for booth attendees.

Beckett(www.beckettcorp.com) introduced a new standard junction box that will be available for all CF-1000 and larger oil burners and all CG15 and larger gas burners.

Features include two hinged lids that offer easy access to centrally located wiring. A new 10-circuit terminal block makes for easy field wiring tie-in and includes a color-coded label that clearly defines connection points. “The whole idea is to make the tech’s job easier,” said James Seaman, Beckett OEM sales manager.

Heat-Timer(www.heat-timer.com) showed visitors its Internet Control Management System (ICMS), which it describes as “a powerful Internet system that provides accessibility to Heat-Timer Platinum controls.”

The ICMS provides viewing, modification, and analysis capabilities. For example, via a wireless integrated network system, ICMS can monitor in-line oil tanks, boilers, and water meters. Oil tank information can be displayed and viewed in a variety of graphs, tank levels can be displayed at each time interval, and information can be shown on a daily, weekly, or monthly consumption as a bar graph.

Industrial Combustion(www.ind-comb.com) introduced its new line of V-series burners, which are known for their performance and reliability and offer high turndown and low NOx capabilities. Each burner is suitable for firetube and watertube boilers in commercial and institutional applications.

“The 10:1 turndown ratio offers fuel savings,” said Dan Benway, Industrial Combustion customer service manager. “The 30 ppm low NOx is clean and what people are looking for.” Benway added that the VG, VL, and VLG Series are very versatile and fit most applications.

Riello Burners(www.riello-burners.com) rolled out some new products at the expo including its oil, gas, and dual-fuel burners. The new single-phase models are “based on a simple, integrated design that provides high-efficiency, low-noise operation while significantly reducing fuel and maintenance costs.” Five new R-Series models have been introduced since January 2007. The new RS low NOx gas burners are also easy to maintain, according to Joseph Sacco, Riello Burners area manager.
