WASHINGTON - The Green Mechanical Council (GreenMech) will be providing eight green workshops during the Ecobuild fall convention, Dec. 10-13, at the Washington Convention Center. According to GreenMech, the Ecobuild event showcases green building, sustainable design, environmental planning, construction technology, and information management.
The eight sessions the Green Mechanical Council is offering are: Engineering High Performance Building HVAC & Energy Systems; Building Commissioning: Delivering High Performance; Combustion Analysis: Tuning up the Building’s Engine; Radiant Heating/Cooling for Comfort, Energy Savings, and Design Flexibility; Implementing Energy Savings Measures and Measuring Results in Real Time; Rationale for Sustainability: Exergy; Green Awareness Certification Program (GAP): Terminology & Concepts for Commercial and Green Residential Mechanical Systems; and Environment in Crisis.
In conjunction with the training sessions, there will be special exhibits at the Green Mechanical Pavilion. The pavilion will display mechanical systems, products, and services designed to save energy and reduce emissions. In addition, all Ecobuild sessions are eligible for American Institute of Architecture (AIA) continuing education credits.
