Model 205 handheld vibration meter can be used by commercial HVAC technicians and building maintenance personnel to trend vibration levels in fans, motors, ducts, structural supports, cooling towers, and pumps. According to the manufacturer, regular vibration checks help pinpoint out-of-spec equipment for scheduled inspection and maintenance before the equipment fails and requires emergency shutdown, repair, or replacement. Users can collect and record useful vibration data that can be analyzed later on a computer. The 100 mV/g accelerometer is accurate to ±5 percent of full scale. The meter has a large display and runs on four AA alkaline batteries.
