ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced the winners of its 2007 awards at its annual meeting in Orlando.
Paul Stalknecht, ACCA CEO, presented the 2007 Spirit of
Federation award to Todd McAllister, executive director of ACCA Texas, which is
ACCA’s largest state chapter. Created in 2002, the Spirit of Federation Award
recognizes a man or woman who has offered dedicated service to furthering the
association’s mission at all levels - national, state, and local.
“He has been one of ACCA’s most innovative leaders taking on
challenges, creating new opportunities, and consistently performing high
service for his members,” said Stalknecht. “He knows the real value of ACCA at
all levels, and is a true partner and supporter of the ACCA national staff. We
rely on him for honest feedback and active participation. He has made ACCA
stronger, not just in his chapter, but nationwide.”
Atlas Butler Heating & Cooling, Columbus, Ohio, won the
2007 ACCA Award for Excellence in Residential Contracting. Other finalists in
this category were: Apollo Heating & Air Conditioning Co. Inc., Cincinnati;
Great Dane Heating & Air Conditioning, Clinton Township, Mich.; and Robert
H. Ranck Inc., Lancaster, Pa.
Morris-Jenkins, Charlotte, N.C., was awarded the Jeff Forker
Award for Excellence in Training. Other finalists in this category were:
DiFilippo’s Service Co., Paoli, Pa.; Halco Plumbing, Heating & Air
Conditioning, Phelps, N.Y.; and Energy Management Specialists, Cleveland, Ohio.
TDIndustries, Dallas, won the 2007 ACCA Award for Excellence
in Commercial Contracting. Other finalists in this category were: Deiter
Brothers Heating-Cooling-Security, Bethlehem, Pa., and Hobaica Services,
