The Web site also offers a free nationwide service — locating toxic mold inspectors. The site claims to have a list of pre-screened toxic mold professionals to “assist with your toxic mold needs and offer the initial toxic mold inspection of your home or business at no cost to you.”

Web site visitors can also order a “do-it-yourself toxic black mold test kit.” The kit sells for $9.95 and StartRemodeling.com claims the test in the kit can indicate the presence of mold in 48 hours.
