ROCKVILLE, MD — IDEAL.com has begun distribution of PlanTracer, a new product in IDEAL’s family of Scan to CAD products. PlanTracer is a product for AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop (ADT) that converts floor and building plans into intelligent models automatically and/or semi-automatically.

“Facility managers can scan their paper drawings using an IDEAL/Contex scanner, convert the raster data to vector with the WiseImage plug-in to PlanTracer, and then create a 3-D model,” said Jay Magenheim, president of IDEAL.com.
