COLUMBIA, Mo. — SEMCO Incorporated, headquartered here, and Venmar CES Inc. have settled the patent litigation that has existed between the parties in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

SEMCO owns U.S. Patent No. 4,769,053 entitled “High Efficiency Sensible And Latent Heat Exchange Media With Selected Transfer For A Total Energy Recovery Wheel.” The parties have agreed to the entry of a judgment by the court wherein Venmar CES acknowledges that SEMCO's patent is valid and enforceable and that for the duration of the patent Venmar CES will not make, use, sell, offer for sale, or import products that infringe SEMCO's patent rights.
