The AHR Expo Opens
Despite bumping up against the Super Bowl and dealing with coronavirus concerns, the AHR Expo welcomed more than 50,000 attendees to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando the week of February 3.
Directory
The AHR Expo released its show directory to thousands of attendees.
Product of the Year
The Danfoss CO2 Adaptive Liquid Management (CALM) Solution received the AHR Expo Product of the Year award.
Touring the Booths
Manufacturers of various sizes used their booths to showcase the newest solutions and technologies to HVAC contractors.
Companies & Exhibitors
The AHR Expo included more than 1,900 exhibiting companies — 577 international and 295 that were first-time exhibitors. This was a noticeably bump from the 2019 Expo in Atlanta, when attendance was just over 45,000 with 1,824 exhibitors.
Education Program Session
The 2020 show featured more than 200 sessions in the education program, inspired by current and future HVACR trends.
A Whole Other Aspect of the Industry
“For a young person like me who is new to the trade, the show introduced me to a whole other aspect of the industry,” said HVAC service technician Victor Grasso, attending his first Expo.
Learning the Newest HVAC Trends
Educational sessions offered attendees the change to learn about HVAC trends, business management practices, and more.
ASHRAE ‘Spin to Win’
ASHRAE offered visitors the chance of spinning to win a variety of prizes.
Fastest Hands in HVACR
At hilmor’s booth more than 350 participants donned safety glasses, gloves, and black-and-green T-shirts and baseball hats to compete for the title of “Fastest Hands in HVAC/R” – and the chance to win hundreds of dollars’ worth of prizes.
Free Hat Giveaway
Attendees stood at the Carhartt Inc. booth waiting for their new khaki hat with a freshly sewn Carhartt Company Gear™ embroidered patch. Two industrial sewing machines and two factory employees sewed on over 900 patches the first day.
Cambridge Air Solutions
Cambridge Air Solutions introduced its new name, logo, and brand at the expo, changing from its former name, Cambridge Engineering.
