Rowe Speaks About Skills Gap

We here at The NEWS have covered the skills gap at great length. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but there is a misconception that the unemployment rate is high because we don’t have enough jobs for Americans. In fact, the employment rate is so high because those looking for work do not have the skill sets that those jobs require.

Check out this clip of "Real Time with Bill Maher" featuring Mike Rowe. He speaks on the entire issue very eloquently. For me, the best quote from the clip was, “We are lending money we don’t have, to kids who will never be able to pay it back, to educate them on jobs that no longer exist.”
