Dan Hahne

Dan Hahne has a BFA degree from University College London and an MFA from Boston University. He has been in the HVAC industry for over 39 years, beginning his career as an estimator for the Norman S. Wright Co. SW in 1985 before transitioning into outside sales. In 2000, Dan joined Air Specialty Products as an outside salesperson and in 2008 he assumed the role of sales engineer, becoming ASP’s proponent and educator for high-performance HVAC systems. In 2016, he took a position with Varitec Solutions, where he currently serves in the capacity of Director of High-Performance HVAC Solutions, becoming a regional resource for sustainable products, equipment, and innovative applications for conventional and sustainable system designs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dan created several webinars on ASHRAE’s Epidemic Task Force and their recommendations on how to apply HVAC products and design strategies to promote healthier buildings through improved indoor air quality (IAQ). In July of 2024, Dan was nominated and selected to serve ASHRAE as a Distinguished Lecturer. Dan may be reached at danh@varitecsolutions.com.
