Laurence Jones
Laurence Jones is a principal for New Ridge Engineering PLLC. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Throughout his career, he has designed and modeled complex power distribution systems and lighting control systems. He has engineered emergency power systems with generators and uninterruptable power supplies. Jones’ primary experience has provided quality solutions for various health care and government clients. These projects included small single-room replacements of medical imaging modalities; hybrid operating rooms; outpatient surgical centers; emergency power system upgrades; an international warehouse facility; and a multistory, high-rise outpatient facility. In addition to building design, he has produced over-current protective device coordination and arc flash studies. Jones currently serves on the board of directors for the Illuminating Engineers Society, Richmond section, as the secretary.
