Thermostat Recycling Corp. (TRC) announced that its fifth annual Big Man On Planet (BMOP) competition begins May 1, in partnership with Heating, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI). BMOP will run through Oct. 31 and all HARDI wholesaler members are eligible to participate.

Nortek Inc. announced the appointment of Bruno Biasiotta as chief operating officer, air management. The U.S. Department of Energy is also announcing it will host a public meeting on June 20. 

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will also host a public meeting Tuesday, June 14, in Washington, District of Columbia.

DOE has extended the comment period until June 22, 2016. 

The final rule changes will be mandatory for representations of energy use or efficiency on or after 180 days after publication in the Federal Register.

DOE is also announcing it will host a public meeting on June 20, 2016.
