Citing strong fourth-quarter results and prospects for growth in emerging markets, DuPont has raised its earnings outlook for 2007 as well as its profit forecast for 2008. The company, which makes a range of products including refrigerants for HVACR systems, expects 2007 earnings to be at the upper end of its previously announced range of $3.15 to $3.20 a share.
The Dwyer Group, a holding company for six home improvement and repair franchise brands, sold a record 235 new franchises in the United States and Canada in 2007. According to the company, this number represents approximately 24 percent more than the 190 franchises the company sold in 2006.
